Thomas Beijer positioned himself at the top of a new generation of pianists in the Netherlands by winning the prestigious Young Pianist Foundation Competition in 2007, at the age of eighteen.
The international jury about Beijer; 'a very interesting musical personality, with distinct ideas about music. A true artist.'
Born and based in the Netherlands, Thomas Beijer enrolled at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he studied with Jan Wijn. 
He took masterclasses with Elza Kolodin, Pascal Devoyon, Jacques Rouvier, Murray Perahia, Emanuel Ax and Menahem Pressler.
Thomas Beijer concluded his Master study at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in 2011 and graduated with Highest Distinction.
From the age of ten Thomas Beijer performed recitals in Europe and Asia and as a soloist played piano concerti by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, 
Ravel, Franck and Adams with the Hague Residence Orchestra, Brabant Orchestra, Amsterdam Sinfonietta and Netherlands Student Orchestra.
He worked with conductors like Neeme Järvi, Nicholas Milton, Ed Spanjaard and Bas Wiegers.
Thomas Beijer is also an active chambermusician and a composer.
Since 2009 Thomas is a member of the Amsterdam Chamber Soloists. 

Thomas Beijer's compositions are published by Donemus, Publishing House of Dutch Contemporary Classical Music.
Recent works are Motion Games and Ballade. 
Petenera's Night Music was commissioned by the Young Pianist Foundation for the YPF Piano Competition in November 2013. 
Poema del Cante Jondo will appear on the new cd Cancíon y Danza, release autumn 2013.
Thomas Beijer's debut-cd with compositions by Johannes Brahms was released in 2009.
His second cd with the Moments Musicaux and the Variations on Chopin by Sergei Rachmaninoff was released in 2012.
